Campaign Details:
The Sacramento campaign was launched on February 18, 2005. The Home Loan Counseling Center is the lead agency and the campaign
is operated by the Sacramento Financial Abuse Assistance Network (FAAN). Calls come in through the Home Loan Counseling Center
and are referred to partner agencies.
Through a speaker's bureau, FAAN conducts 30-minute presentations to the community about the effects of predatory lending and what
kind of help is available. The campaign also provides more intensive workshops for potential and existing homeowners on refinancing,
flipping, loan terms, home improvements and contractor schemes, as well as reverse mortgages.
